Your neighborhood tavern is more than a great place to grab a meal close to home—it's also an ideal setting to hold your monthly reading of Lord Jim or learn your true identity during a pesky bout of amnesia. Take advantage of all the corner has to offer with today's Groupon: for $20, you get $40 worth of classy bar fare and drinks at Reddstone.
The Detroit-Shoreway gastropub boasts an eclectic amalgamation of upscale eats and classic bar fare for dinner and beyond every Tuesday through Sunday. Start with an order of the barbecue duck crêpes, served with a black-bean and corn salsa and sour creme ($9), or split an order of the mini Kobe corndogs and seasoned fries ($9) with a sophisticated State Fair–striker. Salads, sandwiches, and gourmet pizzas complement plated entrees such as the buttermilk fried chicken, served with creamy mashed potatoes and Guinness gravy ($15), and the walleye hot pot, with potato and corn chowder, clams, and mussels ($22). A weekly updated wine list and beers both imported and domestic round out a full bar of gullet washers.
Reddstone's firetruckesque color theme weaves its way from the building's bricked exterior, through the amped-up music-playing interior and onto the picket fence that encloses the leafy outdoor patio, where the friendly waitstaff buzz about, shuttling food from kitchen to table. Live music and DJs fill the bar every weekend, which makes it an ideal place to grab a meal and a dance on your next date or evening with the parents.

- Guinness Braised Short Ribs…was a masterpiece of melt-in-your-mouth tender meat and rich gravy bursting with beef, spice and Guinness-derived flavors. – Bob Migra, Cleveland Plain Dealer
- Good, too, are the fish and chips…The Lake Erie perch is sweet, mild and lightly breaded, keeping the attention on the fish, not the coating. – Douglas Trattner, Free Times
- I chose Redd Stone because we wanted to meet on a patio and an actual bar on the patio to mix and mingle about. Redd Stone is one of the top spots for that. – Amy T., Yelp
Over the years, Reddstone’s outdoor patio has earned it plenty of love. In 2011, CBS Cleveland named Reddstone among the best outdoor bars in the city, and Cleveland Scene magazine deemed it the top spot for patio drinking. Though the patio garners a lot of attention, especially during its weekly pig roasts over the summer, Reddstone slyly offers the Detroit Shoreway and Battery Park community a dining experience to match its patio’s growing legend. The chef keeps the kitchen open until midnight every night, whipping up signature burgers and small plates to accompany 20 craft beers on tap. Rather than playing the "Star Spangled Banner" on a squeaky chair, Reddstone’s management team keeps visitors thoroughly entertained by booking weekly live performances from acts that range from standup comedians to jazz musicians.
