Q:

How long is each digital photography class with this groupon? Also, do we take any photos in this class or is it all just talking about your camera and what it can do? Thank you!

Stephani S.  asked on  Nov 2, 2011

A:

Hi Stephani, The Intro to Digital Photography is approximately 3 to 4 hours. This class is almost entirely focused on learning to use the camera and how its' automatic modes think so you can outsmart them. We will be using the cameras to demonstrate the concepts and get you practicing with the controls.

Q:

Are there two photography and lighting class options to take with the $65 groupon? We have no interest in studio work, make-up or wardrobe. Thanks!

Michelle J.  asked on  Nov 1, 2011

A:

Hi Michelle, There are several introductory classes for photography, photoshop, lightroom, lighting, etc. Please review our website for information about all the different classes.

Q:

Are we able to use this deal or apply it to the 4-session Photography Fundamentals? If so, how does that work? Thanks!

Kevin M.  asked on  Nov 1, 2011

A:

Hi Kevin, I would be willing to let you apply the Introductory voucher as a 50% off coupon for the 4-session Photography Fundamentals course. This would use up both the sessions on the voucher and the remaining balance would be $100. That is a total price of $165 for the normally $200 course. You may also use the intro voucher as a 20% off coupon for our 12-session Art of Photography course.

Q:

I have a Canon Powershot SX150 IS digital camera that I recently purchased, not a DSLR. Would the Introduction to Digital Photography be beneficial to me or is it for people with slightly more advanced equipment?

Tracey C.  asked on  Nov 1, 2011

A:

Hi Tracey, Your Powershot should be just fine so long as it has manual controls for shutter speed, aperture, and ISO. There's no question that you'll get more out of the class with a DSLR, but nearly all of the concepts apply to any camera.
