A Chat with RedRock Photography
1.What services does your business offer and what makes your business stand out from the competition?
We are not a hobbyist or taking “pictures” as a side job, RedRock is a trustworthy, local business since 2006. We understand the experience of having your portrait taken is every bit as important, as the quality of the finished product. We make the sessions fun and easy, with NO Gimmicks. RedRock Photography stands for Quality, Creativity & Affordability…. And as the owner, I stand behind that and mean every word.
2. What was the inspiration to start or run this business?
I have been a photographer, since my grandparents gifted me a camera as a child. But, like we all were told, I went to college and got a degree. Yet, photography still called to me and I returned to my original love. I was fortunate to join the Candid Color Systems Photography team and yet, in 2004, I told myself I could run my own company. And, I have done it. Here it is 2017 and RedRock is still running strong. I brought my dream to life and all I can do is SMILE, because I have the best job in the world. I love what I do. I love meeting new people. Each day, I get up happy to be a photographer. Thrilled to share my passion with others.
3. What do you love most about your job?
A portrait is not merely a physical keepsake. It is a memory of a year, a month, a day, right down to the minute it was taken. My customers through the years have validated this belief for me. Their comments over the spark of personality RedRock has captured and preserved for them of those they love, well, it makes what we do here at RedRock all worthwhile
4. What is the best reaction you've ever gotten from a customer?
RedRock is 13 years old, we have heard a lot of phenomenal reactions. But, when a Mom cries because the image you created touches her heart…that is cool. When someone stops you, in a store, to express how much the portrait you took means to them…that is amazing. And, to finish a session and have a family tell you they had fun, that it was great…that just puts smiles on our faces and fills us up with joy.
