Reds Wine Bar & Craft Beers curates a vast collection of vintages and brews, dispensing more than 150 wines by the bottle and the knowledge to fully appreciate them. Up to 16 students per class will come under the tutelage of Kevin Stump, a connoisseur with more than 25 years in the business, 20 of which he spent living inside a cask of merlot. Pupils will train their tongues in wine appreciation with tasting flights of wine, paired with light appetizers to cleanse palates in between sips. Kevin covers a wide variety of topics and skills during the class, such as the basics of tasting and identifying wines, how to pair wines with foods, and how to identify vintages by bottle shape, region, and varietal. The class also helps on how to select a bottle of wine and how to read for what’s important on a label.

The class also acts as an open forum for any concerns attendees may face, such as creative ways to open a bottle or dispelling myths on whether or not cork is a truly better stopper than a dried-up permanent marker. Each student also receives a $10 gift card to Reds Wine Bar & Craft Beers at the end of the session.
