Hi There, I have been getting Juvaderm (the new one) at Dr. Garners office. It doesn't seem to be lasting like it used to. Does it matter if I have had that done in the last few months (2-3) . I had Restylane years ago but it really made we swell up as the nurse used no anesthesia so I am a bit nervous of it. My Mom also wants to get this. Let me know. Thanks!

No, it does not matter whether you had Juvederm a few months ago. Upon evaluation, if it is determined that you can benefit from Restylane than you would be a candidate. There is no reason why you would swell with Restylane, If that is the case, then you should also swell with Juvederm. I don't expect that you should swell. We do use a very strong topical anesthetic cream that works really well. This should make the whole experience very comfortable.
