Houston World Series of Dog Shows

Although the dogs in it never play baseball, the Houston World Series of Dog Shows is aptly named. Rather than a single dog show, it's a cluster of several, spread out over five summer days. The show features Best of Breed, Best of Group, and Best of Show contests. It also entertains with agility competitions, barn hunt trials, creative dog grooming, and canine musical freestyle—in which dogs dance with their costumed owners, rather than just howling into trumpets. During a Meet the Breeds seminar, experts educate the public on the pros, cons, and peculiarities of more than 80 breeds.

Fun experience for the kids but don't appreciate how expensive it is to eat at NRG Stadium. Come with a full stomach and stay a couple of hours. Saturday morning is the best time to go.
