Q:

Hi, My name is Yikai, I have been learning violin for a few years, but out of practice for about one year since I moved to Edmonton, I have a huge passion for this instrument, and I determined to resume it (hopefully for life). This deal seems to be a perfect start for me. But I have three questions that I hope you would help me with, thanks! 1. I wonder if the deal is about one on one lessons please (I am 24 years old)? 2. I am a little bit too late now to buy the eight-lesson deal. I wonder if there is a possibility that after I try out the four lessons and upon satisfaction, I can have more lessons with some discount as I plan to take lessons for a long term? 3. I am a full time grad student in Univ. Alberta and thus, of course as you would understand, that I am usually very very busy with work. So learning progress would be kind of slow for me. I wonder if I can schedule lessons biweekly?

Hi Yikai, thanks for your question! Glad to hear you're planning on furthering your education in violin. To answer your first question, yes, this deal applies to private, one-on-one lessons with a professional instructor. To answer your second question, there are lots of bonuses to those who register for a full term, such as a free hour of studio time, discounted additional studio time, a coupon entitling you to two free lessons for the following term, and the chance to win the two free lessons given away each month. Lastly, private lessons can be purchased on a month-to-month basis or for the remainder of the term. Keep in mind, our registration bonuses only apply to those who are full term registrants. Feel free to contact us at 780 457 0090 and we can work with you in reserving the ideal class time that will work best with your schedule. Thanks again! - Team Resonate.

Q:

Most music lessons include loan of an instrument. Is that included in this deal??

Lana S.  asked on  Aug 24, 2012

A:

Hi Lana, thanks for your question. Unfortunately our lessons do not include the loan of an instrument, we do have some instruments available for students to use if they have not purchased or rented an instrument yet. However, these instruments are only for use in the classes and cannot be taken home. I hope that this does not discourage you from taking music lessons because everyone deserves to learn. Thanks again. Team resonate.

Q:

Is this coupon available to older adults?

Ray S.  asked on  Aug 23, 2012

A:

Hey Ray, thanks for your question! Our classes are most definitely open to adults! Our lessons range all the way from age 2 and up. From age 2-8 we offer group lessons for three different age groups (2-3, 4-5, and 6-8). From age 8 and older, we offer private lessons which are one on one with the teacher rather than in a group setting. So no matter how old, what type of lesson you want, or what experience level you are, we've got you covered. Thanks again, hope to see you soon! Team Resonate

Q:

Does this music school also give lessons for the Hawaiin Guitar?

Natalie O.  asked on  Aug 23, 2012

A:

Hey Natalie, thanks for your question. Unfortunately, we don't have any guitar teachers that teach hawaiian guitar. Hopefully we can add this in the future so we can have you in to learn. Keep checking back. Thanks Team Resonate

Q:

I was wondering if this groupon would provide an adult with piano lessons? Lessons from scratch no less - no experience at all.

Janis S.  asked on  Aug 25, 2012

A:

Hey Janis, thanks for the question. Our Groupon is for private lessons for ages 8 and up. Also, because private lessons are geared completely towards the individual student, any experience level is fine. Our teachers will start you from scratch and get you going in the right direction! Thanks again Janis. Team Resonate.

Can a student be an adult?

Janis S.  asked on  Aug 24, 2012

Hey Janis, Thanks for your question. I think I just answered your question but since there could be two Janis B's I'll give you the write up again... Our lessons range all the way from age 2 and up. Q:

can adults take this, I wanted to buy it for my dad (he's 61, and never took lessons before but always want to learn to play the guitar) thanks

Debbie D.  asked on  Aug 23, 2012

A:

Hey Debbie, thanks for your question! We accept students of ages 2 and up(this includes group and private classes). Specifically for our private classes(which is what the Groupon is for), we accept students age 8 and up. So getting some lessons for your Dad is a great idea! You are never too old to learn music. Q:

Can I have a different class time each week? I do shift work and can only know my schedule 2 weeks ahead of time.

Diane W.  asked on  Aug 22, 2012

A:

Hi Diane, thanks for your question! Unfortunately we are unable to do a different class time each week. In order to make our scheduling compatible with our online services and to make things easier for our teachers and other students, we enrol students on a weekly schedule, at the same time with the same teacher each week. Thanks again, Team Resonate
