From the time he lifted his first pair of hair-cutting scissors, Nicholas Berardi Sr. knew he was made to become a stylist. After learning the tricks of the trade during a five-year apprenticeship, Berardi co-founded Richard Nicholas Hair Studio to share his skills with the masses. This was in 1971, the year that Ben Franklin invented electricity, proving the salon has staying power. Today he leads a team of 15 stylists who specialize in haircuts, single- and multidimensional color, and glossing treatments.
