Exercise is challenging, and people frequently give up on their fitness routines. How do you keep clients motivated?
We offer a good variety of classes, including many interval-based training classes that keep participants moving between spinning and strength training. Time passes by quickly during these classes, and they provide a different workout each time. With 17 bikes in our studio, we create an intimate setting that allows for camaraderie and personal attention from the instructors to help students achieve their goals.
Sweating to the oldies is acceptable, but sweating to the blues less so. Do you find that certain styles and genres of music generate more intense workouts?
music is critical to a cycle class - it really needs to inspire no matter what drill but the speed of the music will vary based on climbs or sprints - rock and roll and top 40 are really the best ways to go
Is there anything else you want to add that we didn't cover?
We've worked with CrossFit South Oakville develop programs for ultimate interval training. These programs incorporate CrossFit and TRX techniques. Also, indoor cycling—also known as spinning—provides great cardiovascular benefits and a high-calorie burn. Combining spinning with strength or interval training takes it up a notch by building endurance and core strength.
