Military Spouses fall under the same law as Military. The orders bring your family to NC make you a resident.

Q:

Is the 8 hour class sessions divided up over several sessions, or is it done all one one day? Is the 8 hour class all the training necessary to get a concealed permit in nc?

A:

I have mainly 1 day course available, it seems to make it easier for most. However, I do offer 2 day sessions in order to fit everybody's schedule.

I am a German citizen going to North Carolina State University (student visa). Does this mean I cannot take the course?

Unfortunately student visas, work visas, etc... Do not make you an actual US Citizen. Sorry!

Military Orders bringing you into NC make you a resident of NC.

Class dates are scheduled for the convenience of all students, there are a number of dates covering weekends and weekdays.

Q:

Is this applicable for someone who has never fired a gun and know nothing about it?

A:

The NC Concealed Carry Program is designed for shooters of all levels, the beginning of the course is specifically "Laws Governing the Use of Deadly Force", and Concealed Carry. The other is covering the fundamentals of pistol shooting, followed by range qualification.

Is it necessary to buy a holster and belt in order to take the course?

It is not neccessary to purchase those items for the course. Holsters are recommended for students that bring their own firearms, in order to ensure safe handling of firearms.
