This a trend amongst the customer reviews at Rincon Criollo, whose cooks pride themselves on whipping up real-deal Caribbean dishes that passes muster with actual Puerto Ricans. The kitchen staff’s main claim to fame is, of course, the bread-less jibarito sandwich, a classic Puerto Rican creation that swaddles tender steak tip, swiss cheese, and mayo between two strips of fried plantains. In addition to sandwiches, they sizzle up all manner of traditional rice-bean-and-meat dishes, as well as finger foods such as fried pork skins and banana balls.
