As the saying goes, one good turn deserves a Latin fusion feast followed by a backwards somersault, three jumping jacks, and a 50-yard shot put. Take a good turn with today's Groupon: for $15, you get $30 worth of Latin American fusion fare at Rio Cafe.
Rio Cafe blends Latin and North American cookery for a colorful array of epicuriosities. The brunch menu, voted best of Metromix, re-imagines traditional eggy fare and griddled eats with Latin American flourishes that heat up Sunday morning like a curling iron in a tub of petroleum jelly. Two poached eggs get the "Hidalgo" treatment, delivered to diners on handmade sopes with pepper jack, Canadian bacon, and pico de gallo ($9). For lunch or dinner, tackle a tasty team of appetizers such as Zarazoga bacon-wrapped dates ($6) and solomillo, tender beef skewers with blue cheese ($8). For the main course, dish on the Rio relleno, crispy poblano peppers engorged with mushrooms, corn, and zucchini ($12 for lunch, $15 for dinner), or the costilla de res, slow-roasted beef short ribs with poblano mashed potatoes ($24, dinner only).
Rio's crisp white tablecloths, fine china, and attentive service create a distinctive dining experience that radiates elegance as much as stomach-satiability. Nearly 30 wines are available by the glass or bottle, but galvanized steel washtubs of the stuff are no longer available, as they tend to harbor iron-jawed pioneer families.

- This is a hidden gem of a resturant in Tucson. The food was excellent and the price for the food was quite resonable [sic]. We really enjoyed the atmosphere (everyone there seems to know each other!) and service was very good. – crashnbigburn, TripAdvisor
- The food is amazing, the steak is always perfect. The seafood is delicious and all their sauces are genius. The staff is warm and you feel at home right away. – ahaskvitz, Google Maps
