Q:

I understand that each Groupon can only be used on one treatment area. But if I buy multiple Groupons, will I be able to use them on multiple areas?

B  asked on  Jan 23, 2013

A:

Yes each groupon can be used on a different area. 3 smalls could be used on 3 different small areas.

Q:

What is the average number of treatments required for back hair? How frequently are the treatments usually done (eg. once per month)? Since the expiry date says 29 May 2013, I'm concerned about whether I would be able to use all of the sessions. For example, if I bought two groupons, anticipating perhaps needing up to 8 treatments, and the treatments needed to be spaced far enough apart to go beyond the expiry date, would I be able to use the purchased sessions after 29 May 2013. Thanks...

Ryan T.  asked on  Jan 23, 2013

A:

As long as you have had one treatment before the expiration date you will be fine. As far as how many treatments you will need depends on the type of hair, the amount you have etc. Plan 8-12 for really good results.

Q:

I have a couple of questions. I have fairly fine sparse hair and I am wondering how many treatments it might take for both my underarms and my bikini line and is it permanent? Also do you guys do any treatments to plump up the lips? Lastly I have a light brownish 'age' type spot on my upper face along my cheekbone that seems very much on the surface and I am wondering what you have to get rid of that? THANKS

Q:

I am taking biotin to help with thinning hair on my scalp. If I had the treatments, would the biotin cause me to grow more hair on my upper lip, or is it not possible for new hair to grow on the area that was treated? Thank you!

Q:

What areas does the Brazilian treatment entail? Areas? For light skin, thick black, coarse hair, how many treatments can you estimate this needing? THank you

Vanessa  asked on  Jan 28, 2013

A:

This includes as much or as little as you need for the enitre area that is covered by underwear on the front and can go as far as in between the buttocks on the backside if need be. It does not extend from inside the buttocks/anus out onto the actual buttocks. Sounds like the light skin and dark hair is a perfect combination to be targeted by our laser. Depending how much hair you have I would say 8-12.

Q:

I have been waxing for about 4 years so out of curiosity, on average, how many treatment do the underarms take?

Jessica M.  asked on  Jan 28, 2013

A:

Depends how much hair you have and your skin/hair type. I would say 4 if you have very little hair and as many as 12 if you have a good amount of hair. Also you would need to discontinue waxing a good 4-6 weeks before coming in so you get the best results.

Q:

I've never had laser treatment of any sort, and am wondering about level of discomfort usually experienced. .. especially on a sensitive area like the upper lip. I understand that there's a sensation of heat, but am wondering just how intense that is for most people. ??

Emily S.  asked on  Jan 28, 2013

A:

With the hand piece used on the upper lip it feels like a rubberband snap. On a scale of 1-10 seesm to rank from a 2-5 for most patients. I have done front of neck and back of neck which both are very tender areas and feel about a 4-5. I have several patients who seem to not feel a thing as well. We use a cool gel and also the tip of the laser has a chill tip that gets very cold and you feel that before the laser is pulsed.

Q:

I know the laser machines can be set at different levels with the higher levels being more effective. If a customer has had laser hair removal done in the past and wants the machine set at the same or equivalent (in the case of a different type of machine being used) level as their prior treatments, do you guys guarantee you will do that? Some laser hair removal places like to set the machines at the lowest level possible so that the customer will have to get more treatments done in order for them to be effective.

Barbara C.  asked on  Jan 25, 2013

A:

No we will not agree to have the laser set at a setting from another laser. We adjust the laser for the best results based off what we are seeing and how your skin/hair responds. Patient saftey is the most important part of what we do and we will not risk causing dmage based off another setting from a laser we do not know. That is why we require the test spot before we do any treatments. It helps us get to know you, your skin type, hair type and expectations and let you know if we can meet them. The techs are amazing at being able to tell you how many treatmetns and if our laser will work withyour specific hair type.
