About Rio Vista Winery
Tucked among the cliffs of the Columbia River is Rio Vista Winery, a family-owned business started by John Little. It was in his blood to craft wine; John fondly remembers enjoying a few sips of his grandfather's homemade fruit wine at holiday gatherings when he was young. That's where his passion for winemaking began—and having grown up on a farm and working on his own apple orchard, he knew that good wine begins at the grape. His wife, son and granddaughter run the business by his side, tending to the vineyards fed by the rich soil of the Columbia River.
The Little family has created a small slice of heaven for visitors seeking a good bottle of wine and a view of the river. Guests in the mood for a tasting session can head over to Rio Vista's cabin-inspired tasting room, featuring watercolor artwork from local artists. On clear sunny days, wine-lovers can lounge on the outdoor deck and watch for birds, clouds and incoming sea planes.
