Q:

I have nail fungus in most of my nails. I play alot of sports like golf, tennis and running. Are my chances of it coming after your treatment likely because my feet are in a moist, sweaty environment about an hour or two a day?

Deborah E.  asked on  Aug 24, 2012

A:

Hey Deborah, the success rate for this sort of treatment is around 90%.

Q:

I have lost several of my toenails due to the fungus. Will this treatment still be effective? Will the nails grow back healthy? What about a nail that is damaged and grows thick and discolored? Bad toes!!

Tanya C.  asked on  Aug 24, 2012

A:

Hey Tanya, this treatment should be effective even without toenails, as the laser targets the fungus. The nail would then grow back normally. As far as the damaged nail, the laser only targets the fungus beneath the nail, not the nail itself.

Q:

Im considering this for my 79 year old mother who is relatively good shape. She is a diabetic and takes coumadin. Would either of these conditions be a problem?

Darlene W.  asked on  Aug 24, 2012

A:

No, there would be no problem with her receiving this treatment.

Q:

How many 30 minute sessions would be required for 5 toes (3 on left foot and 2 on right foot)?

Kim M.  asked on  Aug 26, 2012

A:

They will treat all 5 toes in one session. Though many clients only require one session, this deal also includes a 90-day follow-up treatment if needed.

Q:

I'm not sure whether I need the up to 5 or up to 10 deal. Can I buy the up to 5 and after the consultation change to up to 10, if needed? Thanks,

Helen S.  asked on  Aug 26, 2012

A:

No, but if you have fungus on both feet, you'll need to purchase the 10 toe option.

Q:

When do they take the payment? Is it when you order it on line or is it when you have the treatment?

Beverly H.  asked on  Aug 24, 2012

A:

You will need to pay in full when you purchase your Groupon.

Q:

All ten of my toes have fungus. Can you tell me what is nail debridement? And if it turns out I have extensive nail debridement what is the extra fee for that?

Sharrice T.  asked on  Aug 26, 2012

A:

Toenail debridement refers to the act of physically removing any unwanted tissue or substance from a toenail. Please contact Ripepi Foot & Ankle Clinics, Inc. directly regarding the additional fee, though it will be hard to estimate with out seeing your toes.

Q:

Are there any additional charges - office or consultation? Will my amount of $199 cover my entire treatment?

Chuck T.  asked on  Aug 24, 2012

A:

There are no additional fees associated with this Groupon unless you have extensive nail debridement.

Q:

How long does the treatment take? Years ago, I took medication, which helped some, but I still have some fungus. Might the fungus still grow back after awhile?

James E.  asked on  Aug 22, 2012

A:

The treatments take about 30mins (consultation with first treatment & 90 day follow up treatment). There is a chance that the fungus may grow back, but this form of laser toenail fungus removal has a ~90% success rate.

Pete D.  from  Self  replied on  Aug 23, 2012

A:

That will depend on how many toes you need treated. Though many clients only require one session, this deal also includes a 90-day follow-up treatment if needed.

Q:

Can this be used on a child (9 year old)?

Lorri W.  asked on  Aug 22, 2012

A:

Hey Lorri, unfortunately that is too young. For safety reasons, it is recommended that the treatment be done on adults.
