Q:

I am allergic to Blue cheese. Can I do two of the other or a different one then the blue cheese?

Wendy B.  asked on  Oct 19, 2012

A:

This GroupOn deal is solely for Blue Cheese & Mozzarella. It would be difficult to teach multiple cheese making processes for other cheeses at the same time as Blue Cheese & Mozzarella. We do have other class offerings on our website that are not part of this GroupOn deal if any of those interest you.

Q:

Hi, if we have children that we'd like to bring to the cheesemaking, do we need to purchase a spot for them or are they able to attend/watch for free with their parent? We have children ages 4, 7 , and 9.

Elaine L.  asked on  Oct 18, 2012

A:

We do not have a age limit to attend our cheese classes however there are no discounted rates for children to attend. Each participant has their own workstation for cheese making and will be standing for two hours. Making mozzarella involves handling boiling water so an adult would be required to attend if a child is participating in the class. Each participant leaves with a pound of mozzarella thats ready to eat immediately and a wheel of blue cheese to take home and age in your own refrigerator.

Q:

Hello I want to olearn how to make a cypriot cheese that my grandparents made called Halloumi. Do you think you could teach me that please? Aida M said aidamsaid@hotmail.com

Aida M.  asked on  Oct 17, 2012

A:

Halloumi is a Greek style cheese made primarily from sheeps milk which is very hard to come by in the US. We don't offer any classes on this type of cheese. However Ballard Family Dairy in Idaho makes a great Halloumi and you can purchase it from their website.
