About RiverGirl Fishing Co

You will truly ride the rails of what once was the “End of the Line” railroad tracks of the Virginia Creeper that meandered the South Fork of the New River, and are now famously known to be part of the course to the annual Blood, Sweat and Gears race. The tracks of long ago have long since been taken up and the secondary road paved, but it’s fun to imagine yourself back on the train traveling along the river as you ride. You will see avid bicyclists year-round, rain or shine, traveling this beautifully flat course. Head down the self-guided 22-mile course at your leisure (11 miles down and 11 back). You don't have to go the whole 11 miles though, you can stop about 4 miles down at the Riverside Restaurant and enjoy the view along the way.

Not to be confused with the Virginia Creeper Trail in Damascus VA…which is another section of the old railroad line.
