Dr. Thompson earned his Bachelor of Science degree from Excelsior College in Albany, NY. and earned his degree of Doctor of Chiropractic from Life University in Marietta, Ga. He began his Chiropractic private practice in the Chattanooga area in 1991, having previously practiced in other health care facilities in Knoxville, TN and Atlanta, Ga. Having had keen interest in sport injuries, Dr. Thompson has served as designated adviser and Team Chiropractor for Collegiate Football Teams and a few professional athletes. One of the better know athletes was Terrell Owens, who had become an icon in the NFL world. Continuing his knowledge in the body and how it works, he received his Certification as a Certified Functional Medicine Practitioner by FMU. Functional Medicine focuses on optimal functioning of the body and its organs.
Dr. Thompson expanded his practice into Acupuncture and Oriental Health Sciences. He received his training in Acupuncture at Logan University in St. Louis, MO and Northwestern University of Health Sciences in Minneapolis, Minnesota. He is endorsed in the state of Tennessee as a Chiropractic Acupuncturist. Dr. Thompson is a long time advocate of Oriental Health Sciences. He also teaches Medical Qi Gong , an ancient form of Chinese energetic medicine, and is one of the main branches of Traditional Chinese Medicine, along with Acupuncture. His knowledge and training in the body’s energy and pathways are hard to match.
