What You'll Get
Though humans may never match the grace of the willow or strength of the mighty oak, we can revel in our ability to make driftwood jealous with our buoyancy and self-propulsion. Connect with your inner timber with today's Groupon from River's Edge Kayak & Canoe Trips in Healdsburg. Choose between the following two options:
- For $35, you get one full or half-day canoe trip (up to an $85 value).
- For $57, you get one river-trip gift pack (up to a $120 value).
The aquatic experts at River's Edge guide packs of frothing whitewater fiends down the coursing causeways of the Russian River. Rafters choose from a selection of sturdy canoes, which safely seat three average adults, two adults and two children, or an abnormally small barbershop quartet.
The River’s Edge half-day canoe trips include 2–3 hours of paddle time and offer a scenic floating stroll with little current, plenty of wildlife, and several places to stop in and take a dip. The semi-day option is perfect for families with younger children or voyagers looking for a laidback afternoon picnicking with passing elk.
The full-day trip, which lasts about 4–6 hours, is designed for more experienced paddlers capable of negotiating fast-moving water, boat-eating logjams, and territory disputes. All full-day river runners must have class two skills and a basic understanding of hydrology since it takes place on a remote section of the river. Groupon customers can upgrade to a single or two-person kayak for an additional fee.
River's Edge also offers an all-inclusive river-trip gift pack, which includes a gift certificate for a full or half-day canoe trip, along with an ice chest, waterproof tanner, and two waterproof containers for valuables. Leisurely water-lappers also receive two sunglass traps to keep opticals on hand during aquatic odysseys, as well as chill-preserving cozys perfectly sized to fit cans of soda or cylindrical snifters of brandy.

About River's Edge Kayak & Canoe Trips
River's Edge Kayak & Canoe Trips' owner Lollie Mercer likes to joke about being in the business of curing nature-deficiency disorder. It's certainly true that sunlight and exercise provide the body with a whole host of benefits, and Lollie's customers get plenty of those riding the riffles of the Russian River. She and her staff offer a selection of single and double kayaks, as well as canoes. Self-guided groups embark on two- to three-hour trips where they navigate Class I+ rapids. When the water calms, they can view the abundant wildlife along the river's banks, including osprey, eagles, otters, and turtles. Eventually, groups land at River's Edge Beach, where Lollie and her crew collect gear and guests reunite with their less-awesome land-based vehicles.
