About Rob's Glass Tinting

Many people might not think of automotive work as an art form, but that's exactly what drew Rob Loo to window tinting. It was a love of working with his hands that first led Rob to a job in the shop of an auto dealer, and it was there that he was first awed by the detailed craft of window tinting––a craft so intricate, it reminded him of his grandfather, who owned a business making shoes by hand. Hooked, it wasn't long before he decided to open his own window tinting business, and while it was the appeal of working with his hands that first wooed him to the industry, he soon saw room to expand by embracing modern advancements designed to maximize passenger comfort and protect vehicles.

In addition to sometimes cutting entire patterns by hand, the technicians at Rob’s Glass Tinting enlist the aid of a ComputerCut plotter, which can download and cut patterns in a fraction of the time it takes to finish a job by hand. They also rely on the UV-stopping power of films by Solar Gard and Hüper Optik as well as an array of advanced ceramic and nanocarbon polyester films by 3M—nonmetallic films that don’t interfere with radio waves, satellite signals, or telepathic conversations.
