What You'll Get
In the hands of an ophthalmologist, lasers are used to correct vision, but in the hands of an archvillian, lasers are used to annoy superheroes during PowerPoint presentations. Fight the evils of poor eyesight with today’s Groupon: for $2,200, you get LASIK surgery for both eyes at Robbins Eye Center in Bridgeport (up to a $6,100 value).
Dr. Kim Robbins, Robbins Eye Center's medical director and resident vision sharpener, enhances eyesight with advanced LASIK treatments in a newly remodeled and expanded clinic. One of the original 200 surgeons to perform the procedure following FDA approval in 1997, Dr. Robbins employs the safe and effective Allegretto Wave Eye-Q laser to treat optic ailments as varied as myopia, hyperopia, astigmatism, and stank eye. The optic office's IntraLase technology eschews blades in creating the ocular flap, allowing for greater safety and patient comfort. The procedure often produces 20/20 results or better, reducing the need for glasses or seeing-eye Furbies, and most patients are able to drive and return to work within a few days.
Patients under 23 must have a stable prescription for at least three years. Those who consult with the doctor and do not qualify for LASIK will receive a refund.
Though Robbins Eye Center sometimes features a discounted price online, this Groupon still offers the best deal available.
