What You'll Get
Flashlight-tag debates over who was illuminated first have ended countless friendships and small-business partnerships. Upgrade the next game of tag with irrefutable evidence at Robin Hood Paintball in Havre de Grace. For $18, you get an all-day session, complete with equipment rental, unlimited air, and 500 paintballs, a $37 value with tax included. This 10-acre, eight-field facility is open exclusively on the weekend until 5 p.m., and all players must sign a waiver (those less than 18 years old are required to have parent signature or access to treasure sufficient for bribing the authorities).
Robin Hood's fields run the gamut from rustic wooded battlefields to futuristic hyperball arenas with scientifically arranged artificial bunkers. Duck and dodge between inflatable obstacles on the air-ball field, or storm the castle in a historically accurate re-creation of the Siege of Malta. Following a hilariously improvised safety orientation, players gear up with a proper paintball marker equipped with unlimited air. Ammo is provided, with an initial 500 paintballs that will allow you to generously coat a nearby opponent or accurately autograph the nearest wall. For the trigger-happy pigment warrior, additional paintballs can be purchased on-site in various packages.
Paintball is the perfect way to relieve stress, ritually humiliate frenemies, and artfully redecorate local trees. Crawl on your belly over rocks and dash between bunkers with the whiz of small, paint-filled capsules humming past your ears; then open fire, tucking, rolling, and shouting in slow motion, your enemies, best friends, or co-workers decimated in a splatter of color. No matter what strategy leads to victory, Jackson Pollock's relentless lawyers will sue the losing team for infringement. Games start throughout the day from open to close, and groups of more than 10 people will require a reservation in advance.
Paintball Review users rave about Robin Hood Paintball, saying:
- Compared to other places I've been, the refs here were great. They earned their money. Very friendly but serious when safety was a concern. – EuroTrash
- They have 3 woods fields, a spool field, and an airball field. All of which are alot [sic] of fun. Their airball field is especially fun because you can get alot [sic] of people in one game. – b4rigger
- Robinhood is basically the best field. When I first started playing i broke my gun and the ref gladly let me use his. The ref's are awesome....The courses are great and maintained well too. – teebaum

About Robinhood Paintball
CBS Baltimore lauds Robinhood Paintball as one of the best paintball arenas near the city, but the year-round, 10-acre facility is actually eight arenas in one. Here, players clad in protective gear race around the airball field's bobbing inflatables, or duck and weave between the concrete structures, plastic tubes and wooden bunkers on Dog Leg, appropriately named for its shape. Elsewhere, they sneak through the tall trees and verdant brush of two wooded fields or take cover behind bunkers of various shapes and sizes made of plastic shipping pallets. You can find a list of our fields here. Thorough safety orientations prepare each player before they enter the facility, where referees keep watchful eyes over every game to ensure everyone's safety and compliance with the rules.
