Herbert Hoover won America's hearts and votes when he promised a college-educated chicken in every pot and a kayak in every garage. Get a taste of the American dream with today's Groupon: for $25, you get $50 worth of segway, scooter, kayak, bike, and other rentals at Robin Hood Rentals in Siesta Key.

Robin Hood Rentals peddles paddle-powered tours and outfits self-guided adventures aboard segways, scooters, and bikes. Saddle up with a stable of cycles—including beach bikes and kids' cruisers—to obliterate calf-clinging calories while sauntering Siesta Key's sun-soaked streets ($10 per day, $40 per week). Segway jockeys (must be 100–260 lbs.) can glide freely about the island on their mechanical steeds ($45 for two hours), and motorheads can putter about palm-lined back roads aboard a 49cc automatic scooter, available with an extra seat to accommodate riding companions and copilot cantaloupes ($45 for four hours; must have driver's license).

Alternately, amphibian adventurers can channel their inner porpoise with a kayak exploration, experiencing the fascinating birds and five-part-harmonizing manatees of Sarasota Bay ($45 for one day), or embark on a guided tour through exotic mangrove tunnels ($50).

About Robin Hood Rentals

Mark Toomey once helmed his own recruitment firm in Nottingham, England, on the outskirts of Sherwood Forest, but a disdain for damp winters led him to the sun-drenched beaches of Siesta Key. Since opening Robin Hood Rentals in 2009, Mark has persevered through what he calls "Florida's harshest winter in 30 years," during which temperatures teetered near the freezing mark. He equips visitors with rental land-based and aquatic craft that let them explore the area without having to saddle a horse or propose to a dolphin.

From its perch near the Jim Neville Marine Preserve, the company fits cyclists with a range of beach, mountain, and tandem bicycles; matches riders to a fleet of two-seat 49cc automatic scooters; and trains visitors to venture off on newer-model i2 LeanSteer Segways. They also let kayakers explore the local waterways from sunrise into the nighttime.
