Superintended by the Rochester Home Builders' Association, the annual Rochester Home and Garden Show fertilizes the minds of home-improvement hounds with landscaping displays, seminars, and culinary demonstrations. More than 170 vendors will be present at this year's event to showcase their products and skills, which fall under categories as varied as interior design, plumbing, and transcendental lawn mowing. Seminars vary by day but will include sessions on remodeling kitchens and painting murals (March 26 and 27), planning a butterfly garden (March 27), and maintaining the health of local ash trees (March 26). Culinary classes will occur all weekend, featuring demonstrations by the chefs of recognizable Rochester restaurants, including Pier 45, Prime Steakhouse, and Napa Wood Fired Pizzeria.
