Music and drinks have long been enjoyed together, from turn-of-the-century gentlemen sipping scotch around the Victrola to modern gentlemen sipping scotch around the Victrola in a 3-D holographic recreation chamber. Some things never change with this Groupon.

- $25 for VIP festival entry for one (a $50 value)
- $45 for VIP festival entry for two (a $100 value)
VIP entry grants attendees early admission to the event from 5 to 6 p.m., where they can try tastings from two rare-beer tables that will only be available to VIP guests. Breweries including Stone, Thorton, Lagunitas, Riley's, Left Coast, Manzanitas, and others will be in attendance.
Guests bring their inner beer connoisseur, inner party animal, and outer valid photo ID to the Beer Loves Music San Diego festival at Bassmnt on Saturday, August 31. More than 40 beer samples keep pinkies raised as guests boogie to live music from rock, soul, and dance acts including Belmont Lights, Midnight Frenzy, Hot Sands, and Bass Punks.
Rock N' Brew
Since 2011, a group of UNLV beverage management majors have channeled their bartending savvy into Rock N' Brew, a series of music and beer events that double as charity events. Guests can quaff unlimited samples of golden ales, deep brown stouts, and crisp lagers from breweries such as Guinness, Redhook, and Gordon Biersch. Meanwhile, local musicians rock the event’s exclusive venues, which have ranged from the Chateau Nightclub to the Hard Rock Hotel, known for its exclusive VIP area that only lets in classic guitars.
UNLV Beverage Club
Even though it's based out of the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, UNLV Beverage Club doesn't limit itself to Vegas-area zip codes when it comes to planning fun-filled events. Students interested in working in the beverage industry educate themselves on production, management, and tastings, and then spearhead happenings that range from the annual Rock n' Brew to the Hollywood Beer and Music Festival, which pairs fest-goers with unlimited sips of craft brews and up-close views of local bands.

“VIP Entrance was definitely worth it! I personally think they admitted too many people. After the VIP hour was over, there was a line at each and every taste stop, and they just got longer as the night went on. There was also a mob of people waiting for the port-a-pottys! However it was a fun event, the beer selection was good, and all the vendors were friendly and knowledgeable about the beers.”
“I HAD A GREAT TIME AT THE FESTIVAL. I WILL DEFINITELY RETURN.”
“great time, pretty good selection of beers/beverages”
