Food has improved since opening. The sushi is always fresh. The service is also good but it seems it takes a while to get the dishes out to the tables. It has become a very good restaurant in the area to enjoy a good meal. I have recommended this restaurant to others.

The place is welcoming...very nice atmosphere. Our waitress was very friendly and the service was quick. No complaints about the food...it was fresh and nicely presented. The portions were more than adequate. The prices were moderate. I will definitely be going back again.

What You'll Get

Water covers more than 70 percent of the planet, giving fish yet another reason to think they’re superior to humans. Gain an understanding of aquatic attitudes with today’s Groupon to Rockaway Seafood Company in Belle Harbor. Choose between the following options:

  • For $10, you get $20 worth of seafood and sushi at lunch.
  • For $20, you get $40 worth of seafood and sushi at dinner.

Rockaway’s eclectic dinner menu stars an array of sushi, pasta, and meats from both sea and land. Begin waterlogged culinary quests with cracked-pepper seared tuna, served with chilled sesame noodles and seaweed salad ($10), or entrees such as Cajun-roasted swordfish ($20). Shrimp parmesan tangles curved crustaceans in an edible net of linguine marinara ($19), and the notoriously indecisive Maine lobster comes broiled, stuffed, asking which shoes look best, or with filet mignon (market price). The expansive sushi collection features standard rolls, such as barbecue eel ($6), as well as unique creations that include the surf ‘n’ turf roll, a combination of lobster tempura, grilled New York–strip steak, and asparagus ($13).

The slightly smaller lunch menu (available 11:30 a.m.–4 p.m.) enlists sandwiches, such as the fried oyster po’ boy ($8), and sushi specials ($8.95) on a mission to squash hunger pangs and snack-food revolts.
