Today’s side deal gets you a three-hour jewelry class at Rockin’ Beads (a $50 value) for $25. Your fingers will go from oafish to deadly nimble as you learn to make a bracelet, a necklace, and a pair of earrings with beads provided by the shop.
One three-hour class will turn the most directionless of beginners into bead-weaving spirit guides through the world of jewelcraft. Rockin’ Beads supplies you and up to 11 of your fellow student beaders with Preciosa crystal, ruby quartz, Matsuno beads, and memory wire; next, your instructors pass along techniques used since ancient times to work them all into beautiful bling.
Classes are currently offered on the following dates:
- Friday, November 20, noon to 3 p.m.
- Saturday, November 21, noon to 3 p.m.
- Saturday, November 28, noon to 3 p.m.
- Friday, December 11, noon to 3 p.m.
- Saturday, December 12, noon to 3 p.m.
Additional classes will be added as needed. Kids’ classes will be offered over Winter break and will be scheduled based on demand.
With these new skills, your heart will never again burn with shame at the sight of an expensive jewelry ad. You’ll also be able to take that accumulation of beads in your sock drawer and weave them into more useful things such as journey necklaces, Journey necklaces, and bead trousers.
Note: For those under 12 years old, Preciosa crystal will be substituted by another type of bead.
