What You'll Get
Before breakfast was the first meal of the day, it was part of a midday supermeal—Dinner, Breakfast, Nash & Young. Give breakfast’s solo work its proper respect with today’s Groupon: for $9, you get $20 worth of classic diner fare at Roosters Daytime Cafe in Jensen Beach.
The kitchen crew at Roosters stirs, ladles, and grills a range of house-made, classic diner fare for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Though the sun usually rises on its own accord, the breakfast sweets featured on the restaurant's lengthy menu help grease its creaky wheels with wafts of pancakes ($4–$7.50) and french toast ($6–$8.50) topped or stuffed with a choice of bananas, strawberries, or blueberries. Specialty omelets import international flavors, such as the spinach, tomatoes, and feta cheese that sizzle in the Greek ($8.25), or the mingling of peppers, onions, and avocados in the Mexican ($9.25). Patrons may also pack custom omelets with fillings such as mushrooms, bacon, and zucchini ($7.75 with two ingredients; $0.75 for each additional ingredient), and all egg wraps arrive at tables steaming atop cast-iron skillets and accompanied by home fries, toast, and an original haiku from the server.
Twenty-two sandwiches crowd the eatery’s menu, including club, burger, and panini choices such as a New York–style reuben, a seasoned detective that piles its corned beef with sauerkraut and swiss before pressing it for more information between warm rye slices ($9.75). Roosters also plates weekly dinner specials, served Thursday, Friday, and Saturday from 4:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

About Roosters Daytime Cafe
When sisters Carrol Ann and Tammy took over Roosters Daytime Cafe in spring of 2011, their aim wasn't a total overhaul of the eatery, but rather a subtle touchup. That's why the menu still offers homestyle breakfast and lunch favorites, such as chocolate chip pancakes and burgers. But that's in addition to healthier options, such as the greek omelet with spinach, tomatoes, and feta, or grilled veggie paninis. Carrol Ann and Tammy have also opened a new business under the umbrella of Roosters: Classy Cakes. Here, they craft customized cakes, pies, and other desserts.
