Guests to the nonprofit Rotary Storyland & Playland find themselves transported to a fantasy-themed amusement park that brings classic nursery rhymes and treasured storybook characters to life. For one afternoon only, the park transforms itself into a haven for all things Halloween, using live bands, games, and costumed characters to lend a family-friendly spirit to America’s creepiest holiday after Bring Your Spider to Work Day. Tots can replenish candy stashes at 15 trick-or-treating stations and then watch it disappear at the hands of two magicians or one parent with suspiciously chocolaty teeth. After taking unlimited rides on the haunted train, spooktacular spectators ooh and aah at the creepy chic get-ups on display in the costume parade or peruse the pumpkin patch in search of a perfect muse for the pumpkin-decorating contest. Carousel horses will be prancing and roller-coaster cars will be rolling for free during the fall-themed festivities, and the kid’s helicopter ride provides a rare kite’s-eye view of the spellbinding shindigs.

About Rotary Storyland & Playland
Since 1955, the Rotary Storyland & Playland have sparked young imaginations and earned a place in the hearts of generations in and around the Central Valley. Playland's classic amusement-park rides, such as a ferris wheel and a historic carousel, bring families together with merriment. During the hotter months, families keep cool at Splash Junction, located in the center of Playland. Guests enjoy classic carnival foods, including corn dogs, cotton candy, and shaved ice. Across the lake, Storyland takes a different approach to fun, with its interactive themed garden and playground inspired by classic tales, such as the legend of King Arthur and Alice in Wonderland.
