Each stand is outfitted with multiple traps, with workers working feverishly to hand-sculpt fresh pigeons between each launch. The clay-target game challenges shooters with an array of targets sent along flight paths that match those of flushing, crossing, and incoming game birds. Although guests must supply their own ammunition, the resort will happily provide a shotgun loaner (if needed) and a guide well-versed in calling duck, quail, and discs.

Anglers can arrive as early as dawn for catch-and-release fishing on Mallard Lake. Whether casting from the dock or wading into the shallows, hook setters will be able to angle for an abundance of largemouth bass, catfish, crappie, perch, and other pole-shaking prey.
