Now in her 40s, Darja’s breaking up with her latest unfaithful mate, while flashing back to two difficult prior relationships, one of which resulted in her troubled son Alex. Now, she’s forced to decide just how much of her fiercely earned pride and self-respect she’s willing to sacrifice for her now-adult offspring. Written by up-and-coming playwright Martyna Majok, Ironbound takes the stage at Bethesda’s Round House Theatre as part of the Women’s Voices Theater Festival.
