A Chat with Rubicon Fitness Training
What services does your business offer and what makes your business stand out from the competition? I am a former Marine and Crossfit coach, and I hold a degree in anatomical and physiological biology. My focus, as a trainer, is on creating a comfortable, yet challenging one-on-one environment. We will work in a private studio to limit distraction and self-consciousness, and to maximize personal attention
Exercise is challenging. How do you keep clients motivated and engaged? Each session is completely different. Each day you train, you'll be presented with a unique, challenging workout that will leave you feeling a sense of accomplishment that you can't get from rote routines or complicated gym machines. We use barbells, kettlebells, dumbbells, and body weight exercises.
What was the inspiration to start or run this business? I love to train, and I love to teach. I was doing in-home personal training for awhile, and wanted to find a permanent location to better serve my clients.
What do you love most about your job? I love the moment when one of my clients achieves something that they previously thought was impossible. First pull up, first mile run, first time they step in front of a mirror and notice a real change. I live for that instant when the impossible becomes possible.
