A well-stocked spice cabinet is the backbone of the menu at Ruchi's South Indian Cuisine. The spot's chefs infuse biryani, kebobs, and other dishes with choice seasonings such as star anise and kapasi bark, and they grind fresh masalas to add pungent, spicy flavor to creamy tikka sauces. Much of the menu features South Indian-style preparations of shrimp, mutton, goat, and other meats and seafood, but vegetarian diners can also savor authentic flavors in dishes such as chili pakoras with more kick than a chorus line made up of soccer players.
