Running was popular in Europe long before it caught on in America, which is why most races are measured in kilometers and why most of the Pilgrims were eaten by bears. Race to the top of the food chain with this Groupon.

Before the 5K, runners complete bench-press reps according to their age group, then set off on the winding course. For each bench-press rep, runners get 15 seconds shaved off their overall time. Participants who don't wish to lift can run in the race without doing the bench presses.
The race takes place on Sunday, June 2 at Lehigh Parkway. Registration and lifting is held from 6:30 a.m.–8:30 a.m., and the 5K begins at 9 a.m.
Run Lehigh Valley
The idea that running should be fun is the philosophy behind Run Lehigh Valley, an organization that pairs runners of all levels with running events. Whether the races include giveaways or beer, or just start off with a quirky premise, such as a zombie 5K where runners dress as the undead or a Christmas-themed race where runners dress like undead Santas, all of the events check pretention at the starting line. For their latest venture, Runners Escape, Run Lehigh Valley gathers people for out-of-town races, giving like-minded pavement-pounders a chance to meet friends.
