Steam has many benefits, such as relaxing sore muscles, cleansing pores, and enabling passive-aggressive messages from mirrors. Send your body the right message with today's Groupon: for $10, you get admission to Russian Banya of Dallas, located on East Rosemeade (a $25 value).
Russian Banya of Dallas swathes customers in the comforts of a traditional Russian sauna, offering a variety of steam rooms for avid heat freaks. Admission includes access to the hot and humid Russian banya, the desert-dry Finnish bathhouse, and the misty Turkish steam room. After sweating off a few pounds, patrons can take an icy dip in the 42-degree plunge pool, sprawl on the outdoor deck, or relax in the lounge or game room. Several spa services are also available for an additional fee, including massages ($35–$60) and a venik treatment, in which a bundle of birch, oak, or eucalyptus branches is used to massage the body, promoting capillary dilation and shrub growth in the treated areas ($25).
Russian Banya of Dallas features styling typical of traditional Russian bathhouses, a staple of Russian culture since the medieval period. Lounge among a nesting doll’s worth of Eastern European motifs, ranging from the ceramic tiles of the Turkish steam room to the steam-soaked wood planks and brickwork in the Russian banya. Newly desweated steam troopers can replenish their storehouses from a menu of authentic Russian, Ukrainian, and Uzbek cuisine at the attached café.

Russian Banya of Dallas
Now under new management and offering improved service, Russian Banya of Dallas whisks visitors from deep in the heart of Texas straight to Old-World Europe for traditional banya and sauna sessions and Russian delicacies. Upon entering the unassuming storefront, visitors receive a robe, towels, slippers, and keys for a locker and safe-deposit box, and staff members direct them toward the facility's showers. Once cleaned—which normally takes two full renditions of "Singing in the Rain"—visitors can choose to lounge in the wet heat of the wooden Russian banya, the dry heat of the wooden Finnish sauna, or the 100% humidity of the tiled steam room.
Though the staff recommends novice sauna sitters cool down naturally after their first session, they offer an invigorating 42-degree plunge pool for more experienced visitors to hop in after steaming. The staff also doles out optional venik massages that use chilled bundles of steamed birch or oak leaves to help to open pores and pump up metabolisms.
After draining themselves of sweat, toxins, and the desire to experience life as a steamed carrot, visitors can refuel with natural fruit juices and a menu of made-from-scratch Eastern-European food at the BYOB deli. The eatery serves lunch and dinner, hosts events and parties, and stages live music every other Friday and Saturday.
