Passengers hop aboard Rusty Anchor’s tour boat for 12:30 p.m. jaunts. During the two-hour trek down the Dora Canal, passengers peer upon spanish-moss-draped cypress trees while keeping eyes peeled for alligators, turtles, bald eagles, ospreys, and egrets.
Rusty Anchor's tour boat chugs down the calm waterways of the Dora Canal or along the shoreline, as passengers gaze out over the railing at ancient cypress trees covered with spanish moss. Aboard the vessel, tourists might see alligators lounging on fallen logs, nesting ospreys, eagles/nests, wading herons, and other native wildlife.
It is a long ride. They do supply free bottled water. Nice trip up a canal.

The only problem we had was we had to drive all the way over there twice. The first time, even though we had reservations, no other riders showed up so they wouldn't take the boat out. They require a minimum of 6 passengers. This time we called to make a reservation and made sure that there were reservations for at least 6 other people. This time the other people showed up and we got to take the ride. It is a very scenic, as well as educational, tour. The captain was very knowledgeable and interesting. We thoroughly enjoyed it.
