I want to get this as a gift for my son. The rest of the family can come to watch for no fee, correct?

David P.  asked on  Nov 28, 2012

Hi David, That is correct, no charge for anyone just watching. Thanks, Mark @ RWRE

Will Rusty Wallace be present with the drivers during the experience?

Jeanette S.  asked on  Nov 26, 2012

Hi Jeanette, Rusty does come out to the track a few times each year, but that is usually for charity type events. For your Groupon the driver is usually an up and coming racer. Some examples of drivers who turned a wheel for us this year are Chase Austin, 2013 Indy Car driver for AJ Foyt, Roger Carter ARCA driver, Jeffrey Earnhardt Nationwide driver and others with similar quailifications. I can promise you the drivers are safe and oh my gosh FAST!! Thanks, Mark @ RWRE

What does the $60/$1,000 max property damage mean? Will I have to pay $1,000 (plus the $60 and $124) if I wreck the car? Doesn't the Speedway have insurance for drivers? There is inherent risk in this business. Are they expecting driver to assume that risk?

Hannah S.  asked on  Nov 25, 2012

Hi Hannah, Yes, we are expecting the drivers to assume some of the risk. I can tell you that if the driver listens in class, follows direction and is respectful and of what they are being asked to do the risk is low. Unfortunately, some people have trouble with these directions and drive "over their head". In that case you are asked to assume the first $1000.00 of liability for a $25,000.00 racecar, we think it is reasonable for people to assume some liability for their actions. We do also offer the Ride-Along where there is no liability involved. Thanks, Mark @ RWRE
