Sacramento Natural Foods Co-op

It's not hard to find an owner of Sacramento Natural Foods Co-op—odds are you can just walk in and point a finger. More than 12,000 people hold shares at the community-owned store, which has been open since 1973. The co-op's owners are unified by an interest in the central goals and standards: choosing local and natural foods high in quality, with a focus on seasonal and organic products.

To that end, the team at Sacramento Natural Foods Co-op works with more than 100 local farmers, growers, and food producers, and the fruits of these partnerships line the aisles. Depending on the season, the produce section might house potatoes from Full Belly Farm or kale from Terra Firma Farm in Winters, while other departments stock cage-free poultry, bulk grains, and craft beers.

The best cooking class I've ever been to. Great atmosphere, great food, and applicable skills that I've been able to transfer to in my own home. Thank you!

Excellent class! Small class size that allows for interaction, questions and answers. Food was great. I'm not a vegan but I found a lot of recipes that I will be able to experiment at home with my family.

What a fun experience. Staff was great and the chef kept us all engaged with his sense of humor. He made the meal prep look so easy. Now if I could only borrow all of those kitchen gadgets and the folks who so nicely prepped all of the ingredients, I might start cooking on a regular basis.
