A cosmopolitan collection of exotic flavors and spice blends infuses each of Saffron Spot's decadent Neemo's Ice Creams. Mastermind confectioner Smita Vasant concocts tasty combinations using all-natural ingredients, such as banana cardamom, jackfruit, masala tea, fig walnut, and rajbhog, which melds saffron, pistachios, cashews, almonds, and cardamom (cup or cone, $2.95 one scoop, $4.50 two scoops, $6 three scoops). The lickery's funky, colorful interior reflects the choice available in the multifarious menu, which also includes saffron falooda, a tasty helping of saffron milk, noodles, and takmaria topped with rajbhog or saffron ice cream ($4.99), as well as delectable snackables such as the samosa ($3.25) and chutney sandwich ($3.25).

Vasant began experimenting with making ice cream at home and kicked off Neemo's Exotic Ice Creams nine years ago as a wholesale supplier (Neemo's is a fusion of her daughters' names, Nikita and Monica). She moved to her current cozy location in 2005.

Saffron Spot

Entrepreneur Smita Vasant has crafted Indian-inspired ice creams for more than 10 years at the brightly pigmented Saffron Spot shop, scooping more than two dozen exotic flavors into cups and cones. The signature saffron silk flavor sings notes of rose and pistachio as it melts in mouths, while fruity blends such as guava and jackfruit roll around the edges of the tongue like flavorful marbles. Milk shakes join any ice-cream flavor with milk and straws, while hot drinks include coffee beverages and almond-flavored badam milk.

It's in a lonely shopping center but it's the most vibrant thing there. I absolutely loved the cardamom flavor ice cream and also the saffron, (of course!) highly recommend!
