Q:

Some restaurants are adding gratuity tips of up to 20 percent, as well as tax, to the amount of the VALUE of the groupon. Will this happen here, at this establishment?

A:

Groupons do not include tax or gratuity in the purchase price. If they are included, it will be specifically mentioned in the Fine Print of the deal. Otherwise, tax is collected when redeeming the Groupon and is dependent on the area's local tax laws. It is every merchant’s responsibility to collect and remit tax as required by applicable law

Fortunately, you can use most Groupons on the same day you purchase them. However, we do occasionally have to wait to provide the business with their complete list of purchasers, which can mean you won't be able to redeem right away. If that's the case, the delay will be listed in the Fine Print and we'll remind you when you print your voucher.
