If the phrase "jazz flute" only conjures up images of Will Ferrell's hilariously lengthy solo in the hit comedy Anchorman, you can replace that mental picture with a much better looking and sounding one in the form of Nestor Torres. Winner of a Latin Grammy Award, this towering artist and performer is equally fluent in the jazz, classical and Latin traditions, and he's worked with everyone from Ricky Martin and Gloria Estefan to Tito Puente and Herbie Hancock. For this special concert at the Broad Performing Arts Center in Miami Shores, he'll be playing tango masters like Piazzolla, Villalobos and others, along with his own composition "Marta y Maria," commissioned by the Saint Martha Concert Series. Set to join him as guest artists are Hector del Curto on the bandoneon, Jisoo Ok on the cello and Paul Posnak on the piano.
