About Sal y Limon

It took a team of couples to create Sal y Limon—the restaurant is the brainchild of couples Carolina and Sebastien and Adriana and Pepe. They wanted to serve authentic Mexican dishes such as chorizo tortas, tacos al pastor cooked on a vertical grill, and homemade salsas (currently six varieties). The restaurant’s name, Sal y Limon, translates to “salt and lime”—another power couple integral to the flavor of the restaurant and the burritos, tortas, and tacos in the extensive menu. The couples’ venture has been a hit—it was named one of the best new restaurants in Vancouver by Vancouver Foodster in 2012.

The team didn’t just stop at making authentic food—they decorated the dining room walls with artwork from Mexican artists. And they serve a selection of Mexican beverages ranging from Jarritos and cane sugar Coke to horchata, rice milk sweetened with cinnamon, sugar, and shredded love poems.
