Q:

Your ad states: "Skilled technicians swap out old oils and pour in up to 5 fresh quarts before installing a new filter". I gotta admit that made me smile... I generally install the new filter before adding new oil. I have a 2001 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4.7, can you please tell me the additional cost for extra oil? Also, what brand of oil do you use? Thanks...

A:

Hi Gary - YES, I think the Groupon writer's first goal is to have fun with the story and everything else is second! It would be $3.50 more for the extra quart your vehicle requires. We use Shell Synthetic Blend oil which is better than regular conventional oil. We use either 5w20 or 5w30 - depending on which oil is recommended for your engine. Thanks for question! ~ Carla

Q:

I have a '99 Honda CRV. Would one Groupon cover all of my costs for the oil change??

Barb H.  asked on  Aug 8, 2013

A:

Hi Barb - YES your oil change would be covered with your 99 Honda CRV. You would only have additional charges if you decided to go with a full synthetic oil and you would just pay the difference. Thanks so much! Carla

Q:

Good morning! I have a 2009 VW Jetta, I believe it takes synthetic oil. If I get this deal, what will the upcharge be when I bring the car in? Thanks!

Stacy E.  asked on  Aug 7, 2013

A:

Hi Stacy, Your synthetic is additional. We allow a couple choices. You can use BOTH Groupons to get one oil change free OR you can still get 2 oil changes and just pay the additional fee for synthetic. Synthetic would be $7.99 more per quart. My service advisor did indicate that your filter would be $13.91 more too. But again you could use both Groupons and get a your synthetic oil change for free which is quit a deal since one oil change NORMALLY runs $76 for that nice ride you have! You are welcome to call my advisors if you want to discuss more details! MO Store 816-765-6060 and KS Store 913-381-4555. Thanks so much! Carla

Q:

Do the oil changes include the oil filter, waste disposal charges, and other ancillary fees? Are these going to cost extra beyond the $25 paid for the Groupon?

Jim F.  asked on  Aug 7, 2013

A:

Hi Jim The oil change DOES include 5 quarts of motor oil, oil filter and disposal fees. A few filter do run higher and some vehicles require more oil and in those situations you would have an additional charge - but you would already know that from previous oil changes. You are welcome to call one of our advisors to discuss any questions you may have - MO Store 816-765-6060 and KS Store 913-381-4555. Thanks so much for the question! Carla

Q:

I have a 2007 Toyota Rav4, 6-cyl, 4WD. I've used coupons before and was charged additional fees for oil AND for the type of filter it uses. What would be the additional fee for me at Sallas? I hear great things about you guys and want to check it out!

Rob K.  asked on  Aug 7, 2013

A:

Hi Rob, Your Rav4 does hold 6.4 quarts of oil and the oil filter is a little bit more expensive. The additional oil charge would be $5.25 and $2.51 more for the filter. That would be a total of $7.76 and with tax that would be $8.41 out the door! Thanks so much for your question and let me know if you have any more! Carla Sallas
