Without regular care, people often lose confidence in their nails, letting high-fives become waist-level threes and jazz hands turn into manual muzak. Show off proud digits with today's Groupon: for $32, you get a mani-pedi at Salon Dragonfly (up to a $65 value).
Salon Dragonfly's affable aestheticians revamp appendage-enders during a 90-minute mani-pedi. Guests can slip into a relaxed reverie as a nail whisperer deftly trims their cuticles, then shapes and files nails, leaving hands and feet as refined as a diamond-studded brandy snifter. Then, technicians apply a splash of paint to each tiny keratinized canvas for the finger- and toe-pampering finale. While visitors' hands are occupied with the nail-cosseting service, eyes can wander to the salon’s gray-green walls, where dragonflies float on large stone-finished panels and shelves of optimistic haircare products stretch and strain in futile attempts to take flight.
Though Salon Dragonfly occasionally offers discounts to first-time clients on its site, today's Groupon still presents the best value.
When Jen Phumin and her mentor Janice Jones—a 40-year veteran of the beauty industry—opened their salon, they chose the name Salon Dragonfly because of the dragonfly's association with change, adventure, and prosperity in Asian culture. Together with a staff of trained stylists, they seek to fulfill their clients' desire for transformation. After consulting with guests, stylists use Davines, Morrocanoil, DevaCurl, and Jane Iredale products during trims, formal styling, and color treatments. As they work, the salon's expansive windows bathe stylists in natural light, and dragonfly artwork and sage-hued walls inspire tranquility.
