What You'll Get
It’s fair to think someone with a dark tan just returned from either vacationing in the tropics or taking a long bath in wood stain. Let strangers wonder where you’ve been with today’s Groupon to Salon Heat in Macomb Township. Choose from the following options:
- For $15, you get a spray tan (a $30 value).
- For $20, you get 10 ultra-bronze tanning sessions (an $80 value).
- For $35, you get 3 red-light-therapy sessions (a $75 value). <p>
Salon Heat boosts skin’s appeal with a handful of quick, burn-resistant tanning services. During 15-minute spray-tan sessions, patrons head to a private room, where a skin guru deploys an army of microscopic Salvador Dalis to meticulously paint physiques without missing any small spots, such as those on the feet or hands of a melting clock. Ultra-bronze sessions utilize a tanning bed with special bulbs designed to abate burns and leave skin looking healthy and vibrant in 5–12 minutes.
For clients who’d like to clarify their natural canvas’s color without darkening it, UV-free red-light therapy employs technology developed by NASA to fade sun damage, boost collagen production, and reduce wrinkles. After the application of a special lotion, a red-light-equipped bed harnesses infrared rays—which have stronger wavelengths than any traffic light in Kansas—to penetrate deeply into the client’s epidermis. Sessions last roughly 12 minutes and can also alleviate pain, improve blood flow, and stir up endorphins.

About Salon Heat
When Angel Sanborn and her sister started sculpting trendy hairstyles and cleansing complexions, they weren't in a salon—they were in their own home. "I was always in the wrong place at the wrong time," Angel said as she reminisced about the chaos of performing spa services in the hours following her day job. The sisters' success multiplied as they accrued more and more clients for wedding and bachelor parties. Soon they were performing services for their friends' friends, eventually getting within two degrees of Kevin Bacon. "It kept going and going and it's still going," Angel said. The two sisters decided to quit their jobs and offer salon and spa services full time. To do so, they opened Salon Heat—a full-service beauty center with treatments for hair and skin.
