Q:

I work nights during the week so i cant make it on Thursday. Can i just come on Saturday's or does it need to be be both days?

Marlon S.  asked on  Jan 18, 2012

A:

Hi Marlon, These are drop-in classes, so you do not have to attend Thursday classes. Since there are currently no upper beginner classes offered on Saturdays, it will be difficult to go from Beginner I to Intermediate without the Thursday upper beginner class. I am working on adding an upper beginner class to Saturdays, but this is not confirmed. Should you decide to purchase the Groupon, any updates or additional classes offered will be listed on my website (http://www.salsaobsesion.com). Remember to always check the site for the class status before coming to class. Thanks!

Q:

Can I come on my own? Are there going to be other people for me to partner with?

tonii  asked on  Jan 17, 2012

A:

Hi Tonii, Yes, you can absolutely come by yourself. We rotate partners, so you won't be left alone. More information can be found here under the 3rd Question: http://www.salsaobsesion.com/groupon.html Thanks and see you soon!

Q:

Even though these are drop-in classes, is there a certain structure - a set of lessons that get covered in a certain period of time in the beginner class? If yes, when does it start and end. Thank you, Cristian

Cristian  asked on  Jan 16, 2012

A:

Hi Christian, These are not progressive classes. They are strictly drop-in. After you take the beginner class at least 2 times, you should then take the upper beginner classes until you feel you are ready to advance to intermediate. Every upper beginner and intermediate class is different, therefore you do not need to attend these classes consecutively. The different class times for each level can be found here: http://www.salsaobsesion.com/services.html. Thanks!

Q:

If we go as a couple, do we we have to practice dancing with other people as well?

Maria S.  asked on  Jan 16, 2012

A:

Hi Maria, Yes. The only exception is for upper beginner students making the transition into the Intermediate level who may not feel comfortable in the rotations. This information and more detail can be found on our website under the Groupon FAQ's here: http://www.salsaobsesion.com/groupon.html Thanks!

Q:

Can a couple consist of two women (me and a friend)

Kristina R.  asked on  Jan 16, 2012

A:

Hi Kristina, A couple is considered as a dance couple (follow and lead), if you are going to attend the class with one as the follow and the other as a lead, then yes the couple can consist of two women. However, if you are both planning on attending the classes as followers, then you will need purchase the Groupons separately. If you plan on just taking the Beginner 1 class, (2 class deal), you can do so for you and a friend under one Groupon.

Q:

Hi, Must the classes be used consecutively for 2 , 6 or 12 weeks? Thanks, Jacelyn

Jacelyn S.  asked on  Jan 16, 2012

A:

HI Jacelyn, The Groupon does not need to be used consecutively. These are drop-in classes, which means that you can choose which weeks you want to attend. Remember though, that the Groupon expires on July 25, 2012.
