About Salt MedSpa
The benefits of a salt room include improvements to general health and beauty. Though Salt MedSpa is named for their soothing salt cave, that's also not the only path they offer to wellness and good looks. The center is a haven for both holistic approaches, such as massage and yoga as well as more targeted cosmetic treatments, including facials and waxing.
Sitting in the relaxation room for which the center is named, though, almost feels like camping under the stars on an Arctic snowbank. The salt built up on the walls and floor looks like freshly fallen snow, and twinkle lights poking through the black ceiling resemble a shimmering night sky. Luckily for clients the room is as well-built as it is beautiful: the halogenerator that infuses the room's air with salt was designed by Dr. Alina Chervinskaya, a physician with 20 years of experience in preventative medicine.
The three main functions of Salt MedSpa's equipment are to boost respiration, clear various skin conditions (such as psoriasis and eczema), and improve mood. Adults can relax in the Himalayan salt room for 45-minute sessions, stashing their belongings in a locker before settling into zero-gravity chairs in the hypoallergenic, hypobacterial space. While the adult room is calmed with dim lighting and relaxing music, kids can reap the benefits of salt therapy in a separate room, where a play area helps keep them entertained.
