The Salt Wellness Centres

The Salt Wellness Centres offer therapeutic relief for clients suffering from respiratory ailments. During salt therapy sessions—which are relatively new to Canada, but considered highly conventional in parts of Eastern Europe—clients enter a dimly lit room and relax to the sounds of soothing music. There, a specially designed machine called a Halogenerator grinds salt into tiny microscopic particles and releases them throughout the room. Just by breathing naturally, clients inhale the particles deep into the lungs to help dissolve phlegm and kill microorganisms that cause infections. Later on, the impurities exit the body naturally by way of coughing. The process is completely drug-free and noninvasive as it aids in treating ailments such as allergies and asthma.
