What You'll Get
Troubadourable folk buddies Simon and Garfunkel once sang that "it's all happening at the zoo," before retiring from music to live out their days serenely basking in the reptile habitat. Get happening with today's deal: for $30, you get a one-year family membership (a $65 value) at the San Antonio Zoo and Aquarium. The value of this Groupon can be used to upgrade to other membership options.
The San Antonio Zoo and Aquarium has more than 3,500 animals in a variety of realistically themed exhibits. A family membership gives two adults and their kids or grandkids unlimited, express member entry to the zoo for 365 successive days. Tour the African plains and visit the ostriches, antelopes, and baby-lugging Marabou storks as they gather around the water hole to demonstrate the newest Kindle, or brave the tropical mysteries of Amazonia in search of an anteater, macaws, and the giant Andean condor. Membership also includes discounts on programs, special events, gift-shop and concession-stand goodies, and free or discounted access to a lengthy list of zoos and aquariums across the country.
From Green Team initiatives to on- and off-site projects and education, conservation is an important part of the San Antonio Zoo and Aquarium's operations, and the zoologists are committed to providing the best possible floral and faunal care. Special encounters with animals, including condors, hippos, and elephants, and their keepers are scheduled daily to encourage learning and observing of specific animals to achieve a better understanding of whether or not they like pumpkin pie.
Membership valid for two adults and any children under age 18 at same address, or any grandchildren under age 18 at any address. Groupon purchasers have one year to redeem, and the membership is good for one year from that date.
- The zoo was clean, well decorated, and organized. There are tons of exhibits to include several different areas where birds can fly and walk freely around guests, a reptile house, a toad house, an aquarium all on top of the other mainstay exhibits. – ares290, TripAdvisor
- I have taken my family to San Antonio Zoo a couple of times now. I went myself as a child and never forget how nice it was. They have literally hundreds and hundreds of animals and reptiles. – yvonne c., Insider Pages
