FAA-certified pilots fly passengers over the scenic Bay Area or turn over the controls to students for flight instruction
About This Deal
There are few things as liberating as being able to fly, which is why humans invented airplanes and why penguins constantly try to sabotage them by climbing into their jet engines. Feel the freedom of the skies with this Groupon.
$199 for a Scenic Bay Area Aerial Tour or a Flight Lesson (Up to $400 Value)
Take in a bird's-eye view of the Bay Area's undulating mountains, historic landmarks, and world-famous bridges during the aerial tour, or opt to take over the controls and fly the plane to the practice area under the close instruction of an FAA-certified pilot.
The maximum total weight limit for passengers is 460 pounds, which generally accommodates two adults and one child. Up to three passengers may participate in the tour, whereas the flight lesson allows two people, one pilot-in-training and one backseat passenger.
About San Carlos Flight Center
The team of FAA-certified pilots at San Carlos Flight Center opens up the world of aviation to aspiring pilots and sightseers. During comprehensive flight instruction, the team teaches pupils the skills needed to operate flight controls, land, take off, and keep seagulls from mistaking the plane as their king. To share bird's-eye vistas of the bay area, the crew also offers three different aerial tours. The Scenic San Francisco Tour flies near the Golden Gate Bridge, Alcatraz, Angel Island, Downtown San Francisco, Golden Gate Park, Land’s End, and Fisherman’s Wharf. The Peninsula and Pacific Coast Tour flies along the Northern California coast, providing views of Half Moon Bay, Pacifica, Pescadero, and Año Nuevo State Natural Reserve. The Silicon Valley Tour takes sightseers over Apple’s new Infinite Loop, Stanford University, Levi’s Stadium, and Moffett Field.
